About North Bengal University

NBU has established in the year 1962 in Darjeeling district west Bengal. It was established by an Act of the Legislature of WB with the mission “to encourage & provide for instruction for teaching, training & research in various branches of learning and course of study”. The University campus covers an area of nearly 331 acres at the foothills of high Himalaya in close proximity of the Kanchenjunga peak, tea gardens & forest cover.

NBU has already started setting up another campus at Jalpaiguri by the side of the campus of Jalpaiguri Govt. Engineering College for widening the dimension & scope of Higher Education and Research in one more Centre for Higher Education. NBU has taken initiatives in qualitative growth by the way of achieving excellence. The Depts. are well-equipped with research programs from various agencies & received academic recognition.

The Procedure for Applying for the admission in NBU:
