About Vidyapeeth
The starting point of the Vidyapeeth goes back to the pre-autonomy period – 1921 when following the destruction of Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, his adherent Mahatma Gandhi mooted building up a college in his memory. The agents of the initial Maharashtra Provincial Conference on 06 May 1921 supporting the Presidentship of Shrimat Shankar Acharya of Karveer Peeth preferred to have a National University in Maharashtra & subsequently the current day TMV was built up. TMV had widely acclaimed researcher Shri Shankar Acharya Vidyashankar Bharati nom de plume Dr. Kurtakoti as its first Chancellor.
This post has been held by other prominent characters of incredible minds and acknowledgment at the national level, for example, the incomparable Sanskrit Scholar Bharatacharya Shri. C. V. Vaidya, the primary chief of Bombay Presidency Shri. B. G. Kher, Dr. M. S. nom de plume Lokanayak Bapusaheb Aney, an extraordinary Sanskrit researcher, and a history specialist Mahamahopadhyay Datto Vaman Potdar, and Honourable Shri. Y. B. Chavan, Shri. S. B. Eligibility Criteria
- UG Courses – Have to pass 10+2 or equivalent exam from the recognized board.
- PG Courses – Have to pass Bachelors’s in relevant discipline or any equivalent courses with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from the recognized University.
- Diploma Courses – Candidates have to pass 10+2 with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks from the recognized university.
- Ph. D. Courses – Have to pass the Masters or M.Phil. in relevant discipline from the recognized University.
- M.Phil. Courses – Have to pass the Masters in relevant discipline from the recognized University.
