About TNTEU
The Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University was established in the year 2008. The Govt. of Tamil Nadu enacted Act No.(33) to provide for the establishment of TNTEU in Tamil Nadu state for promoting excellence in teachers education. The University’s assignment is to promote excellence in teacher education and produce dynamic & smart teachers for the benefit of society & the nation at large. There is naturally has a demand in the Teachers education programs.
The University consists of 6 departments & appointed one professor for each i.e., The Department of Pedagogical Sciences, Value Education Dept., Educational Psychology Dept., Educational Technology Dept., Curriculum Planning & Evaluation Dept., and the Department of Educational Planning & Administration. Tamil Nadu is the kind of state, which offers a number of general as well as professional courses. It also pays attention to the spreading of elementary, secondary & higher education and training of the teachers involved in these programs.

Eligibility Criteria
- B.Ed. Courses – Candidates should have to pass 10+2+3 from any recognized university
- M.Ed. Courses – Should have to pass Bachelors’s Degree in the field of Education.
- M.Phil. Courses – Masters degree in Education with 55% marks
- Ph.D. Courses – M.ED with 50% marks or MA with 55 % aggregate marks
- Integrated B.Sc.B.Ed. Course – Candidates should have to pass 10+2 or Higher Secondary with a min of 50% aggregate marks.
