About University
Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University was established on 1st Aug 2004 & was inaugurated on 03 Aug 2004 by the Governor of Maharashtra. The formation of this university was a long-cherished desire of the people of this province. The University had a P.G. Centre of Shivaji University for over two decades. The center for P.G. studies had 3 PG science departments & 7 PG courses conducted in the P.G. departments. With this sound background, Solapur University has been established to provide for the needs of over 60,000 students community.
PAHSU is now a hub of various educational activities. A good number of Engineering, Agricultural, Architectural, Medical & Traditional institutions of national fame are located in and around the city. Solapur is a place of religious saints of various languages as the area is at a triple junction of linguistic states of Andhra, Karnataka & Maharashtra. The said backdrop makes the University stands for transcendent principles and embodying a noble mission. It is a short team yet progressive & forward-looking. Perched on a plateau, this University is a citadel of higher learning.

Eligibility Criteria
- UG Courses – Have to pass 10+2 from the recognized board with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- PG Courses – Have to pass 10+2+3 in relevant subject from the recognized board with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- Ph.D. Courses – Candidates must have to pass Masters or M.Phil. in relevant subjects with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks from a recognized board.
- Certificate Courses – Have to pass SSC from the recognized board.
