About PSTU Distance Learning
Potti Sreerammulu is the Telugu University that was established in December 1988. This is the first and only University to start a Journalism Course in Telugu Medium. This University is located in Hyderabad, Telangana.
There are 7 schools at the University. They are School of Fine Arts, Language Development, Social and other Sciences, Comparative Studies, Literature, History, Culture and Archaeology & School of Folk & Tribal Lore.
The University provides facilities of quality staffing, encouraging creativity among the students.
The Cost of Distance Education is also less when compared to Regular Courses.
Eligibility & Qualification
- Nationality: Should be a citizen of India.
- Age Limit: There is no age Limit for Distance Education at Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University.
- PG Courses: Master of Arts in
- Telugu: Any Graduate with Telugu as a second language or its equivalent degree in Oriental Learning or Degree in Telugu Medium.
- Sanskrit: Should be a Graduate in any modern or classical language as a second language its equivalent degree in Oriental Learning.
- Astrology / MCJ / MA English / MA Tourism Management: Any Graduate from any recognized University.
- UG Courses :
- BA Music: Intermediate with an aptitude in Music
- BA Special Telugu: Intermediate in Telugu medium or Telugu as a Subject.
- PG Diploma Courses: Any Graduate from any recognized University.
- Diploma & Certificate Courses: SSC or relevant discipline (based on the course chosen by the student).
PSTU Admissions – Application Process
Please follow the below steps, while submitting the application form. Online Applications can be submitted offline.
- Visit the official website of the University i.e., http://teluguuniversity.ac.in/
- On the left side of the home page, Click on “Centre for Distance Education “.
- Download the application form.
- Take a printout of it and fill in all the details in the form.
- Send the duly filled application form along with the DD to the University Address.

The application fee varies according to the Course. Here are the fee details mentioned. Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of the Registrar of Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University.
