About FMU
Fakir Mohan University was established in the year 1999 in Balasore, Odisha, India by the Government of Odisha. FMU has 60 colleges & 15,000 students at the Under graduate & post graduate levels. It is the only university in India that offers a PG course in Ballistics. FM University is functioning in 2 campuses: the old campus at Januganj, besides the National Highway near Remuna Golei and a new campus in a Nuapadhi.
The university has a Computer lab, Bioscience and Biotechnology lab, BIF- Computer lab (at Dept. of Biosciences & Biotechnology), Environmental Science lab & Applied Physics & Ballistics lab. Welfare facilities include UCO bank, 2 ATM’s (SBI & UCO), 1 canteen, a common gym for both boys and girls, a mini indoor stadium, 1 cricket field, 1 volley field, 1 boy’s hostel, 2 girls hostel, staff quarters & a guest house. There is a centralized computer center, a central library with an internet connection.
