About University
Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET), Aurangabad was set up in 1968 by the Govt. of India with the help of the United Nations Devpt. Program (UNDP) at Chennai. The primary target of setting up of the organization was to create labor in various orders of Plastics Engineering and Technology as no comparative establishment was in presence in the nation. Global Labour Organization (ILO) filled in as the executing office. The University has mainly focused on Skill Training, Technology Support, Academics & Research.
During the time of 1968 &1973, the organization accomplished the objectives visualized and was evaluated as one of the best UNDP ventures actualized around the world. Today CIPET is ahead of the national organization under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India completely dedicated to Skill Development, Academic & Research (STAR) in all the areas of plastics viz: – Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mold Manufacturing, Plastics preparing, Testing & Quality Assurance. CIPET works from different areas spread the nation over providing food the requirements of Polymer & united enterprises.
