About University
Alagappa University was established om 1985 which is located at Karaikudi in Tamil Nadu. Dr. Alagappa Chettiar was the founder of AU. The University was brought into existence by a Special Act of the Govt. of Tamil Nadu in May 1985. It has 44 Departments, 9 Centres & 2 Constituent Colleges on its campus.
