About University
All India Institute of Medical Sciences Jodhpur was established on 31 Jan 2004 & started its operating in Sep 2012. From 2013 onwards they started admitting 100 MBBS & 60 B.Sc Nursing(Hons.) students.OPD (Out Patient) services began at the AIIMS from 27 Jul 2013. And also started MD courses in Anatomy, Biochemistry, Physiology, Community Medicine and Family Medicine dept. from 2016. AIIMS Jodhpur started PG courses in 20 depts. from 2017 with 56 seats.
On 31 Jan 2004, Jaswant Singh, the then Finance Minister had laid the foundation stone of AIIMS Jodhpur. The then Health Minister Sushma Swaraj and then Agriculture Minister Rajnath Singh were also present on the occasion. The current director of the university was Sanjeev Misra. It is a medical college & medical research public university located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. This University was operating autonomously under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. This university is situated on the outskirts of the city of Industrial Area Basni, Jodhpur.
